Cup Final Information

Saturday 3rd December 2016

Welcome to Range High School, Formby, Lancashire

We are pleased to welcome all athletes, teachers, officials and spectators for the 2016 English Schools' Athletics Association Cross Country Cup Final.

The competition is for Junior (under 14) and Intermediate (under 16) age groups. The local rounds of this competition started in October, with over 1660 teams from over 570 schools throughout England competing against other local schools in their County. The leading teams from the competitions held in each County then compete in one of 8 Regional finals in the first weeks of November. The National Final pits the leading 3 teams in each agegroup in each Region against each other.

Teams comprise 6 athletes with the first 4 runners counting towards the points total. In the event of a tie on points, the team whose 4th runner finishes higher takes precedence.
